Tom began his career in CSFP at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in 2002. Coming into the position as CSFP Coordinator with experience in process and procedure creation and control, inventory management and as an iso9001 auditor, Tom was able to help grow the program from a caseload of 2,890 in Allegheny County in 2002 to a caseload of 3,670 in 4 Southwestern Pennsylvania Counties in 2003. Tom worked with approximately 300 CSFP distribution sites and compiled a waiting list of CSFP of over 3,000. When Tom joined the Pennsylvania Association Regional Food Banks dba Hunger-Free PA (state association of food banks and charitable food organizations) in 2004 he brought his experience to help 12 CSFP Lead Agencies serve 15,000 clients each month.

 

Currently, Tom works with 17 CSFP Lead Agencies across Pennsylvania, serving 34,619 clients in all 67 Counties. His duties involve inventory management in 17 locations, monitoring CSFP Lead Agencies, liaison between the State and Federal offices, training, process, and procedures, conference organization, and other general responsibilities. Tom’s public speaking experience assists him with State and Federal Advocacy.

 

He received a degree in Electronic and Computer Technology in 1984. Tom is married to Lori and they have a son and daughter. Justin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 and Taylor is currently attending Allegheny County Community College in preparation for transferring to a University.
