Governor Tom Wolf plans to invest an additional $1 million in Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture's Pennsylvania Agricultural Surplus System (PASS), one of the state’s most important anti-hunger programs, when he unveils his draft budget Feb. 4. It’s among several investments he announced Jan. 22 to ensure vulnerable populations have access to services to promote health and well-being. Hunger-Free Pennsylvania Executive Director Sheila Christopher is already in Harrisburg working with the administration and lawmakers to ensure investments in PASS and the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP) become a reality when the 2020-21 budget is finalized in June.
